Hey Professor Schmitt, I have completed parts 1 and 2 of exercise two. For my calendar, I tried to use nested tables for the first two days of the month (so I could display a calendar within the main calendar). This turned out to be a lot more trouble than I thought it would be. I ended up having to make the overall table wider and set the cell spacing and padding for the nested tables to zero. Also, it appears in Firefox that whenever I put a picture inside a or tag, Firefox puts a blank white space below it.
For the HTML Table Boot Camp, I tried to do something a little more creative and create a table based layout. Here is how it is broken down:
1st row: Professional Websites That Provide Proven Results
2nd row: check marks
1st row:"BSN designs image"
2nd row:"sliced up nav menu"
3rd row:"sliced up yellow lighting below nav menu"
1st row: "black bar image" "black bar image" "100%" "black bar image" "black bar image" "black bar image"
2nd row: "black bar image" "black bar image" "Professional." "black bar image" "black bar image" "black bar image"
3rd row: "black bar image" "black bar image" "Affordable" "black bar image" "black bar image" "black bar image"
4th row: "black bar image" "black bar image" "Creative." "black bar image" "black bar image" "black bar image"
5th row: "black bar image" "black bar image" "Design." "black bar image" "black bar image" "black bar image"
6th row: "black bar image" "black bar image" "BSN." "black bar image" "black bar image" "black bar image"
1st header row: Furl Windows Live Blinklist Blogger Tree Thing Happy Thing
2nd row: set of social networking images
I did not include a caption because it would make it look weird.
1st row: swirly art image
2nd row: headphones image that spans column and one yellow bar
3rd row: 2 yellow bars
4th row: 3 yellow bars
5th row: 4 yellow bars
6th row: 5 yellow bars
table with caption "Now This Is A TABLE!"
